Default Advanced exercise for dog aggression worked

There is a fearful barky young Great Dane who lives on same fairways as me on the golf course. She lives on the tee box so she sees a lot of action and barks at most of it.

She and Lou don't have great positive energy together.

Once we got the pushing down pat I started taking Lou out on the golf course and down toward the dane's house to heel/push/hup, etc. One day some golfer came up on us and we had to get out of the way fast so we moved in closer to her fence, about 5 ft... BARK BARK BARK. To try to get them quiet and occupied I followed Neils advanced exercise recommendations. I pushed and ran back and forth, pushed, and ran again with Lou on one side and the Dane following on her side of the fence. It wasn't a pretty site at first. Lou was nutso and dane was too. But after a few minutes of me thinking "Ok guys HIT THE $%%$ ball so I can get out of here..." the dogs stopped barking and just ran back and forth.

It completely cured the Great Dane of the barking and fence charging with me and Lou. Lou still wants to charge, but Bella is fine. When we go down there to play she will come to her fence to watch but that's it. And if Lou gets too close (oops!) she calmly backs up a step or two and stands there when he goes crazy.

So far, the best part is that the remote barking has stopped. Until this exercise every time Lou heard Bella barking, which was all the time, he would bark. He ignores her barking now.

Just saw this post and I'm so pleased to know that perhaps Tucker's feud with Buddy might be resolved! Unfortunately, in their case, they've had physical contact which resulted in blood being exposed (Tucker's). Plus, it doesn't help that Buddy isn't contained in his own yard and chases my truck as I pass by his fence line whether Tucker is in the vehicle or not.

But still! Hope!
