Hi,
In one of kevin's YouTube videos he says as an example take your dogs in the woods 13 times and maybe on the 13th time you show them the toy because you want to make it special, and as time goes by you do it less, maybe once a month. I was under the impression you do it every day. |

When you're priming the dog on what the game is, you want to play tug every day for short bursts in your "power zone", which is the place you'll work every day. Once he knows what the game is, or more aptly, what the prey is, he'll learn to hold on to the feeling of what the goal of the game is, which is to hunt for the toy, at which point you won't need to do it every single day, because he won't need it every day. But in the early stages, play every day.
