I really enjoyed this interview. It was great to hear about how NDT can be applied in an urban setting where people may have limited access to nature. I also enjoyed hearing about how Lee came to embrace NDT after trying pretty much every other training method out there. I'd also like to say to Lee that I really appreciated your willingness to share how emotional this journey has been for you. I get choked up when Jinxsie and I make a breakthrough too.
One thing that really stuck out for me was the story of the woman whose JRT had been labelled as "damaged goods" by her previous trainers. It seems to me that when other training methods fail, the blame is almost always placed on the dog. These trainers then characterise the problem as a management issue that will never be resolved. This is what I like about the NDT approach: because the focus isn't so much on solving problems as it is channelling energy into a natural expression. This way, the problems ultimately solve themselves as the dog gets more relaxed and starts to feel powerful. Thanks again. Can't wait for the conference call! |

Loved it! NDT gets clearer with every interview
![]() It was fun to hear about the NYC cocker who chased joggers and bikers... like a little cocker I know I'd love to know, Lee, what happened with that dog. And yes yes yes to the calming and centering influence of nature. There is nothing more beautiful to me than being WAY out in the woods where my dogs can run and explore unfettered. They are DOGS and all is right in the world. Thanks so much for the interview! And on the techinical side: THANK YOU for such great quality and good volume! |

Its good to be reminded what it is all about.
Congratulations Lee on getting your books noticed by the broadcasting industry. Hope the series materialises, would be so great to watch. And if they do it right, it would be great for natural dog training. Sorry I do not post much here, I just don't have any issues with Butters to talk about so what is there to say?. He's naturally a good dog thanks to the fact that I found Lee's blog before I brought Butters home. Because he was never difficult, I just don't have the experience of a difficult dog so cannot contribute much. Love reading other peoples posts tho
