Default To our fur kids

Even though I never knew you in person, Josie, I got to share in your zest for life that is forever captured on DVD.

It's hard and sad when our fur kids pass over. They give us such great joys. My two cats, Pixel and Melrose, both lived to be 17 years old. Melrose went first, then a year later, Pixel left this world. They were my first fur kids as an adult, and I had them both since they were babies. I keep in mind that my time with Tucker P Macaroon won't last forever, so I tell him how much I love him every day.

I was wondering: what was Josie like to work with, pre-DVDs?

Default condolences

Sending my condolences to all of Josie's people. How sweet to have her featured on the DVD that so many people have benefited from already and so many many more ave yet to do so. She played a special role in the NDT world and will not be forgotten.

Default what Josie was like

DonnieO,

Josie was a very high-energy dog, who took to the techniques very easily (as far as our working together was concerned).

You definitely get a sense of her on the DVDs - quite excitable, ready to bark, etc.

I purposefully chose dogs for the DVDs who I had either never worked with prior to filming, or with whom I had only worked a few times (like Josie). Nola being an obvious exception. And Lexie, although she was there more as a distraction dog (for the redirection work) than demonstrating techniques.

Hope that gets at what you were asking...

-Neil
