Default Just curious what you think...

Lately my 3 will start howling at pretty much nothing at all. It used to be they'd set to howling when I watched the YouTube video of the Ambassador Wolves @ IWC. Lately though it happens fairly regularly outside the video. For example, I played a vid clip with the only sound being of a man's voice talking and they set to howling (usually Duncan starts it moving). But then there are other times when I'm in the kitchen (the dogs aren't allowed) and Bodie will start barking for me. He is a persistent barker and before too long Duncan and Diva will chime in with howling and pretty soon all 3 are howling.

What's your read on what's going on here? I'm very amused by it (I l♥ve canine vocalizations and howling). Fortunately I own my home (me and the bank ,that is) so there are no neighbor issues. But I'm not sure what is the undercurrent that prompts it. Any suggestions/thoughts?

I appreciate any/all input!

Could be that they pick up on your positive feelings towards their vocalisation, find that they really enjoy it themselves, and burst into song at ever opportunity. Its the whole group mind thing.

I often find that when you menion an interesting behaviour to others, it stops.
