Hi from Colorado!

Hello everyone,

So glad to have found my way to this forum - I've been reading through a bit before posting, and it's been great so far.

My road to Natural Dog Training actually started on Amazon.com. I was looking for training books that didn't emphasize punishment and came across a particularly knowledgeable reviewer (Lee Charles Kelley, who I then perceived as someone who was just REALLY interested in dog training) who kept advocating for Kevin's Book. I followed the link to Lee's website, then followed his link to Neil's. A couple of weeks later I had the DVD's and a mind full of possibilities, but no puppy! But that soon changed.

My wife and I just brought home our 8-week-old Golden Retriever, Bentley, last Saturday. He's been a riot so far - we're crate training, and he's actually doing really well on letting us know when he needs to go outside. We're playing chase and tug-of-war three or four times a day when he goes out, and he's already coming back for more sometimes, even though he runs off with the toy a lot too.

Great to be on here - I'm looking forward to learning a lot and hearing more from all of you!

Hi. I posted for the first time today also. My dog is older so we may not have similar experiences but I look forward to hearing about your progress and Bentley's response to NDT as he grows.
