Default Hi from the UK

Hi I'm Claire, been working with dogs for 11 years and have at last found NDT. I have Sihon, my 7 year old GSD and River 4 years. Both had previous homes, but will be with us for life now. The lessons they have already taught me, I will treasure and maybe they might help me with a future member of the family. Now we are enjoying NDT. It has made a big difference to Si's behaviour, within a week of pushing and tugging he had grown in confidence. Something I hadnt really thought about was that he had not rolled on his back to let me rub his tummy, this last week he has done it several times. River has a high prey drive and would often be off chasing deer/squirrels/cats, anything that ran. I can now recall River from cats for some great pushing, totally amazing. Both my dogs are "work in progress" but I love them, and I love our new journey through NDT. Its so much fun, and they both love it

Hi Claire,
We should meet up again and do some more training. Glad NDT is working out for you, its still providing exciting new challenges for me too. It seems to be gathering momentum in our area - the hotspot of Natural Dog Training in the UK!

Hello to Claire and Russell!

It's great to hear that Natural Dog Training has some devotees in Britain!

I have a student right now from England. Her name is Helen Avery. She's studying to be a dog trainer (with me) and canine massage therapist (not with me). She fosters dogs in the East Village here in New York.

Here's a link to her blog.

I look forward to hearing more from you guys about how NDT is working for your dogs! I'd love to have your experiences with the pushing exercise added to the comments section of my recent article for PsychologyToday.com, "All Dogs Are Good Dogs at Heart."

LCK
