Hi all
Im new to natural dog trainning or at least to kevin behans methods, i have trainned my current dog in prey so i have some understanding of dogs natural behavior, but i still have alot to learn. Current i have a German sheperd(german blodline) a 2 year old female. It was my plan first to get her titled in a civil police dog club but i did regret it, the reason was that alot of the members was the older genaration that still use the køhler method.I remember a woman that had a female dog at that time a 2 year old dog, every time the dog jumped up on her a kne was placed in the chest and obviusly this woman got trouble later in her trainning when she needed the dog to jump up to bite the sleeve on the helper, so this litle story might give some thougts how an attitude can give 1 problems later on in trainning this woman didnt look forward in the future(kevin says teach a go before no). I myself have done mistakes too in my trainning but i have learned from them. A litle about my self : im a mix half danish and half faroese :-)31 year old so i have ocean in my blod, grew up in denmark been out sailing in the atlantic as fisher and in the merchantfleet in northern europe then it was time to serve the country in the navy i stayed there roughly 10 years. current im under education as bricklayer. I have many interests the list is long but my main intereset is dogs. My english isnt perfect so in time of confusion some might need a Spelling plate to better understand me.Jannik Last edited by Jannik; 08-15-2009 at 04:26 PM. |

Welcome Jannik, great to see different folks from around the world joining the forum, I'm in New Zealand and have two Long Haired GSD's. Look forward to hearing how your training is going.
By the way your English is just fine |
