Hi All,
My name is Brad Anderson, my wife and I live in Taos, NM. We have several dogs - we are part of a North America Nihonken (Japanese dog breed) preservation, focusing on the rarer Nihonken breeds. We also have some guardian breeds to help control the predators we have around here. We are avid outdoors people and enjoy hiking, camping, and hunting with our Nihonken. We also enjoy sharing our lives with our dogs, learning about them, and animal behavior. I have followed Natrual Dog training for a little over a year now, I enjoy LCK's blog and have exchanged a few emails with Kevin. I really appreciate and enjoy Kevin's views on dog behavior. I've been a long-time critic of the alpha/dominance concepts, and so it is nice to find a forum that is absent of those concepts. I post a lot of videos of my dogs on YouTube, just to share with people how our dogs interact, and I am so sick of the "who's the pack leader" and "don't you worry about dominance aggression" comments. Anyway, I'm excited to be a part of this forum, I hope to learn a lot. Thanx! ~Brad ---- |

Hope that you have, indeed, been learning alot from the forum posts.
Side note: Taos, NM is one of my favorite places. I have a treasured memory of some hot springs down by the river on a snowy winter's day (Nola, my dog, was with me - as was one of my best friends from college days). Lucky you, to live there. |
