Any reason why not to use these in NDT for management of dogs that pull on the lead?
I am speaking of: Halti Dog Harness - Multi-Functional! - No Pull Plus Regular Harness Premier - Easy Walk Harness, No-Pull Dog Harness Urban Trail: Custom-Made Padded Dog Harness. No-Pull & Biking Options! Soft touch - SENSE-ation, and SENSE-ible no pull harness My experience has been with the easy walk harness and it seems to work well with both of my critters. I am just wondering why they don't seem to be mentioned much. |

Actually, I think Lee can chime in here as he recently tested a no pull harness and was quite impressed with it. I'm trying to find his review of it but can't seem to find it right now. I'm sure he'll jump in here with some good info for you.

Found it. Here is Lee's review of the Freedom No Pull Harness. I found it on his website of all places. Imagine that

I honestly just haven't had much of a chance to test the harnesses, but have had multiple reports of the Sense-sation working well for management.
When it comes to just working on techniques, though, I still prefer a flat collar. Though a non-invasive harness (i.e. one not meant for "management") might work just as well. I don't like the halti-type products because of the way they tweak the head. Also, I have rarely met a dog that liked wearing them. I suppose that part of it for me has simply been convenience. When I'm working with a dog it's much easier to put on a collar quickly. |
