Long Leash Wear & Tear

I've had my long leash for about 9 months now and I'm noticing a fair amount of wear on one side of the leash that seems a bit much considering the time I've had it, (I've attached a photo of several spots along the leash so you can take a look.)

I'm wondering if others are having the same experience or maybe this is just an anomaly. I do use it daily for training and walks on a dirt road if that factors into anything.

The only reason I'm bringing this up is to tease out a possible manufacturing "issue" that can be brought to Neil's attention if needed or is this standard wear, in which case I'll continue using it as I have been.
