Default Nail Trimming

I've had nice experiences using pushing to relieve the stress of nail trimming. In addition to pushing between trimming each paw (initially it was after every nail or two), we use a raised training surface for the dog to 'place' on during the trim. I mix in calling them off for pushing and sending them back on the surface with substantial 'feeding of the position'.

Nail trimming has turned into a game, a huge relief for all of us.

Default thanks!

Thanks for bringing this up, Angelique. Very useful information for everyone, I think.
